Editor's Picks: Our Top 5 Pebble Watch Faces

Hey, everyone! John here. One of the best parts of the Pebble experience is the wide variety of watch faces to choose from. From ultra minimal to highly complex, there's probably a watchface for just about everyone. While our picks are entirely subjective, here are our top 5 favorite faces:

Like the classic Casio digital watches? This face is based on these beloved devices and looks strikingly similar to them. It's not for everyone, but we think it's pretty neat!
If you're a fan of Star Trek, you'll love this face, and you still might even if you're not. Following the style of the futuristic LCARS operating system in The Next Generation, TrekV3 looks awesome and displays tons of helpful information at a glance. It's practical, it looks cool, but it is also a bit busy. Like the last one, it's certainly not for everyone, but we like it a lot.
If you're a fan of more traditional watch faces, this one should be right up your alley. It's sleek, stylish, and very customizable. We like it, and we think most of you will, too.
If you want a watch face that is both minimal and informative, this might just be the one for you! You can customize the style and complications to make it your own, and it also looks pretty nice!
As of now, my favorite watch face is this one. It's highly customizable, looks extremely cool, and is all around a super solid face that can provide a surprisingly large amount of information at a glance. It's definitely a bit busy, but we like it a lot.
Obviously, there are a ton of really great faces that we left out, and there's still a lot to discover. As a result, we'll probably make some more posts like this in the future. Stay tuned for those, and thanks for reading!

Pebble App – No Longer Available for iOS Users

Hi, John here. As you may have heard by now, the Pebble app is unfortunately no longer available for iOS devices. If you previously downloaded it, you might still be able to do so via the purchases list in the App Store, but there’s a good chance that this will not work. I tried installing the old Pebble app from my purchases, and I got the error below: I wasn’t able to test this with the newer Pebble app, as I didn’t want to risk uninstalling it and not being able to get it back. However, I’d say there’s a good chance this error will appear when downloading it from your purchases, too. The Solution? If you no longer have the app installed and want to get it back, you may have a few options. Firstly, you can sideload a backup of the Pebble app’s IPA file if you are willing to take the security risk and enable your iPhone to do so. However, this is hardly ideal and likely more trouble than it’s worth for most people. Alternatively, we Pebble Pariahs recommend simply waiting for an alter

PSA: Don’t Worry About PTR Springs

Hey, everyone! John here. As a Pebble Time Round owner, I wanted to correct a common misconception regarding repairing it. You see, the PTR has a few springs around its chassis that slightly boost Bluetooth signal strength and are very easy to lose. Many people believe that this will severely decrease Bluetooth strength but it only reduces it by a few feet. Honestly, after using a PTR for months without the springs, I haven’t noticed any connection issues whatsoever. So, while they’re certainly good to have, if you lose your PTR’s springs, you don’t have anything to worry about. I know for a fact that I am not the only one who has had no issues using a Time Round without them, and I doubt you’ll even notice they’re gone if you lose them. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I hope this helps!

Using the Pebble Time in 2021 - An Acquired Taste, but Also a Good One

I have literally and figuratively been on a rollercoaster ride with my Pebble Time. The former is true because it accompanied me on the "Giant Dipper" coaster at the beach in Santa Cruz, but the latter is a bit more complicated than that. You see, I went from being very enthusiastic about the Time to being somewhat underwhelmed by it, and then coming to love it after having it on my wrist for a while. So, in a way, my thoughts and feelings regarding the Time fluctuated and kind of went on a rollercoaster ride, soaring up at the beginning, plummetting, and finally evening out. Fancy writing aside, my point is that after using it for a while, I really like this watch, despite it's quirks and several shortcomings. Is the Pebble Time for you, though? Let's find out in the much-delayed Pebble Pariahs' review! Design I like to start these reviews with design impressions, as it's the first thing you really experience with a Pebble.
