We're the Pebble Pariahs! While some may consider Pebble watches to be dead and useless, we think otherwise. Thanks to services like Rebble, we Pebblers have been able to keep using these fun and innovative smartwatches long after Pebble's unfortunate demise. On this blog, enthusiasts MiniMac and JohnS will be writing about what it's like to daily drive Pebble in the 2020s. We'll be writing about all sorts of Pebble-related things, so stay tuned for more posts! Before we end this one, though, here's some information about the writers:
About JohnS
Hi, I'm John! After over a year of using a Wear OS watch, the simplicity and long battery life of Pebble finally won me over very recently. I'm using a Pixel phone paired with a Pebble 301BL, so I hope to mainly write about the Android side of things with my Pebble. As for the 301BL, it's already one of the favorite devices I've ever used! Aside from the occasional screen tearing, which is infrequent enough not to bother me, it's a very solid device. I'm looking forward to blogging about my Pebble experience here in the coming weeks, months, and maybe even years! Also, that Pebble Time does look pretty neat... 😳
About Miniature Macintosh™
Hello! I've been using a Pebble 301BL for about two years. I'm using an iPhone 8 paired with a 301BL, so unlike John, I will write about the iOS side of things! I first got my Pebble in August 2019 as a birthday present; and after using it for two years, I would like to say a few things. It's my favorite watch. I've used it for a while and, honestly, it doesn't compare to anything..., you CAN'T compare it to anything. It's so unique, yet lots of fun. I plan to develop for Pebble so, keep on the look out! I also want to point out, that while, yes, the Pebble may seem dated, it honestly is. But if you can overcome that fact, it's a neat little watch. Like I said, I've been using Pebble for a while, and John was finally convinced to buy one last week! I can't wait to see what we write about next! Stay tuned!
